Ambassador Alan L. Deniega presented his Letter of Credentials to Polish President Karol Nawrocki at the Belvedere Palace on 13 October 2025, becoming the fifth Philippine Ambassador to Poland.

Before Poland, Ambassador Deniega was former Philippine Ambassador to the People's Republic of Bangladesh, with concurrent jurisdiction to Sri Lanka and Maldives.

Before assuming his post in Warsaw, Ambassador Deniega headed the Office of Civilian Security (OCS) as Assistant Secretary.

His previous foreign postings were in Ottawa, Canada (Consul General), in Brussels, Belgium (Deputy Chief of Mission, and Charge d'Affaires), in Singapore (Minister and Consul General), in Osaka, Japan (Deputy Consul General), and in Tokyo, Japan (First Secretary and Consul).

Before joining the Department of Foreign Affairs in 1996, Ambassador Deniega studied in Keio University, Tokyo, for his PhD Studies in Social Psychology.

Previous to this, he obtained his Masteral Degrees in the International University of Japan (MA in International Relations) and in the Asian Center (MA in Asian Studies), University of the Philippines.

He graduated from the University of the Philippines, with a degree in Communications.

Ambassador Deniega is fluent in Japanese (Nihongo). He has also studied Mandarin Chinese, Bahasa Indonesia, and French.
